Measuring Angles
Using a protractor
Angles are measured using a protractor. You can guess the rough size of an angle by looking to see if it's acute or obtuse, but you'll need a protractor for a precise measurement.
Here's how to use a protractor to measure an angle:
- Line up the protractor so the 'cross hair' is exactly on the angle.
- Line up one of the lines with the 0 line on the protractor.
- See which numbers the angle comes between. If it is between 30 and 40, the angle must be thirty something degrees.
- Count the small degrees up from 30. In this example, the angle is 35°.

"THE NUMBER LINE"
To represent numbers in the number lines remember:
-You can put the "O" whereever is more convenient.
-Give the same measurement to each part, according to the numbers you have to represent.
-Give the same value to each part.

After two weeks...
It´s been a pleasure to start the school year with you. Learning about the ancient numeral systems, and about forming our character will take you to places you don't imagine.
Improving your working habits will help you organize your daily activites. Studying is the clue to be successful in 7th grade.
Congratulations to FOSFO, Héctor and members of his team for winning the elections for 7th Grade Student Council. I hope you enjoy this new experience in Junior High!
I'm so proud of being the teacher of the 7th Grade President! My best wishes for a successful school year.

WELCOME TO JUNIOR HIGH!!!
"If I know how to count I know how to think, if I know how to think I can become"...
Learning Math is an amazing experience! You just have to make sure you understand the value and purpose of the concepts. Knowing why you are learning will help you master the subject to use it to your convinience!
The mathematics that we use today is a combination of the work of literally thousands of people who have been working to collect and categorize the different rules, formulas, and properties that had been discovered.
SUCCESS is our goal... work for it, go for it!!!
